David
B. Anderson is currently Senior Vice President of Financial
Counselors, Inc. (FCI), a position he has held since April,
2006. He still publishes his popular newsletter, which can
be found at the FCI
web site.
Until
they were bought out by M & I bank, Anderson was President
of Gold Investment Advisors and Senior Vice President of Investments
for Gold Financial Services, the umbrella organization for
three Gold Banc subsidiaries: Gold Trust Company, Gold
Capital Management, and Gold Investment Advisors. Anderson
joined Gold Financial Services in April 2000.
Prior
to joining Gold Financial Services, Anderson worked for 22 years
at UMB Investment Advisors, the last ten of which were in charge
of the Trust Investment division, which managed $14 billion
of discretionary assets. He was instrumental in the founding
of the UMB Scout family of no-load mutual funds, which grew
to over $1 billion under his direction. Additionally,
Anderson managed the UMB Scout Stock and Regional Equity Funds.
Anderson also served as Senior Vice President of Commerce Trust
Company for four years. In the early 70's he was a sell
side analyst for H.O. Peet & Co, (later Paine Webber),
focusing on regionally headquartered public companies.
He began his financial career with Farmland Industries in 1969.
Anderson
received a B.S. degree in economics from the University of Missouri
at Columbia and a M.A. in finance from Central Missouri State
University.
